If the first registration phase for your MIUT® distance 2027 is officially sold out but if you haven’t secured your place yet, don’t give up just yet. There will be another opportunity to enter MIUT through the official lottery.
How will the lottery work?
According to the MIUT® 2027 regulations, 20% of the total race places are allocated through a lottery, while the remaining 80% are available through direct registration.
Here are the key dates to remember:
- 26 October – 9 November 2026: Lottery pre-registration period.
- 14 November 2026: Official lottery draw.
The lottery offers another chance to secure a place, but entering the draw does not guarantee a spot.
Do I still need to meet the qualification requirements?
Yes. The lottery does not exempt athletes from the race’s qualification criteria. For MIUT LEGEND, ADVANCED and DISCOVER participants must have a qualifying result visible on their ITRA profile, meeting the minimum requirement of ITRA points or km-effort races, achieved between 1 January 2024 and the date of registration.
What’s next?
If you missed the first registration phase, mark the lottery dates in your calendar and keep an eye on our official channels for further instructions.
We know how much this race means to so many of you, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more runners to Madeira in April 2027.
Your MIUT journey might not be over yet!
