Didn’t Get a Spot? There’s Still a Chance! 🎟️

If you missed the first phase of MIUT registrations — don’t worry! There’s still an opportunity to secure your place in the 17th edition of the Madeira Island Ultra-Trail®.

We’re opening the remaining of race entries through a lottery draw, giving everyone a fair chance to take part in MIUT 2026.

🗓️ Key Dates

Registration Period: November 3–7, 2025

Opening of lottery registrations: November 3rd – 19h00 ( Portugal time-Lisbon)
Closing of lottery registration: November 7th – 23h59 ( Portugal time-Lisbon)
The lottery registration will be open for all races that sold out before November 3rd.

Lottery Draw: November 12, 2025
Winners will be notified by email starting from November 12. Each selected participant will have 48 hours to confirm their registration.
If a selected runner does not complete their registration within this time frame, their spot will automatically be offered to the next person on the list.

⚙️ How the Lottery and Waiting List Work

After the draw, the lottery list order automatically becomes the official waiting list for each race.
This means that if any registered runner withdraws, their place will be reassigned to the next person on the waiting list — until March 15, 2026.

You may pre-register for multiple race distances, but once your name is drawn and you are selected for one distance, you will be contacted for that race only, and your name will be removed from the other race lists.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Make sure to enter the correct ITRA ID and ensure you meet the minimum requirements for the distance(s) you apply for.
  • Runners who do not meet the entry requirements or provide incorrect ITRA information will not be contacted.

This system ensures fairness, giving everyone another chance to be part of one of the world’s most iconic trail running adventures — MIUT 2026.
